Poem: The Back of the Sock Drawer

THE BACK OF THE SOCK DRAWER

Mateless commas on the bedspread
Useless halffunctions of whatoncewas
Lost in process
Onceunits going in
Orphans coming out
Time passes
As they take up space
And eventually
Forgotten with nopurpose
